To receive financial aid as you continue your LMU education, you must apply for financial aid each year you are at LMU. Financial Aid recommends applying for aid as soon as possible. It is important to review the deadlines for application for the coming year. Federal, state and several forms of institutional funding rely on you completing the application process as stated below by the given deadlines. Be sure to complete them on time to prevent any delay in awarding and/or loss of aid eligibility.

During different times of the year, current students may find that multiple applications are available at the same time. We have separated the different academic years below to assist you. Please follow the links below that correspond to the term you will be applying to for financial aid at LMU.

Applying for Aid: 2024-2025
Current students continuing in Fall 2024 and/or Spring 2025 who wish to be considered for financial aid awards are required to complete the following steps:
Step 1: Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
- LMU's Federal School Code: 001234
- We encourage you to complete a 2024-2025 FAFSA beginning on January 1, 2024 but no later than two weeks before the end of the fall or spring semester(s) to be considered for institutional aid for the semester; no later than April 30, 2025 to be eligible for Federal Direct loans and; no later than June 30, 2025 to be eligible for the Federal Pell Grant.
In order to electronically sign your form, you and a parent will need an FSA ID.
Step 2: Check your requirements in your PROWL account within MyLMU regularly, completing additional steps if requested
If any additional information or documentation is required to complete your financial aid application, LMU Financial Aid will notify you via PROWL. Submit all requested documents quickly to avoid any delay in awarding and/or loss of aid eligibility.

LMU Summer Financial Aid is available to eligible students enrolled in Summer Sessions, including newly admitted students. If you plan to attend the Summer Session and would like to be considered for summer aid, complete the Summer Financial Aid Application and submit it to the financial aid office.
