To receive financial aid as you continue your LMU education, you must apply for financial aid each year you are at LMU. It is important to review the deadlines for application for the coming year.
The FAFSA is now available to complete on October 1st beginning with the 2019-2020 application.
Current students will find the there are two academic year FAFSAs you can apply for online. One is for the current year (2018-19) and one for the coming year (2019-20). You must complete the 2019-20 FAFSA for the Fall 2019 and Spring 2020 terms. If you plan on attending classes for Summer 2019, the 2018-2019 FAFSA must be completed.
Applying for Aid: 2019-2020
Current students entering in Fall 2019 who wish to be considered for financial aid awards are required to complete the following steps:
Step 1: Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
- LMU's Federal School Code: 001234
- We encourage you to complete a 2019-2020 FAFSA for the Fall 2019 semester beginning on October 1st but no later than June 30, 2019, at fafsa.ed.gov.
- Please ensure that you are completing the FAFSA for the correct aid year - multiple FAFSA aid years will be available, but Fall 2019 entering students must file the 2019-2020 FAFSA to be eligible for aid in Fall 2019.
In order to electronically sign your form, you will need an FSA ID.
Step 2: Check your MyTask list in your PROWL account within MyLMU regularly, completing additional steps if requested.
If any additional information or documentation is required to complete your financial aid application, the Financial Aid Office will notify you via PROWL. Submit of all requested documents quickly to avoid any delay in awarding and/or loss of aid eligibility.
