Appeal eForm

LMU Financial Aid is excited to announce the launch of our brand-new Appeal eForm!  The Appeal eForm will allow undergraduate students to complete the process to appeal for additional need-based financial aid in one step, without having to submit multiple documents in a separate portal.

How to File an Appeal

Current/Continuing Students (including students entering in Spring 2024)

  • Appeal eForm - for current or continuing undergraduate students only.  Make sure to use your MyLMU login credentials to complete the form.

Fall 2024 Admitted Prospective Students

  • Admitted Student Appeal Form - for prospective students who have already been admitted to LMU, you can file an appeal for additional financial aid using the link to our Appeal form. Make sure to use your Future Lions/Admissions portal login credentials to complete the form.

Who to contact if you have any issues or questions about the Appeal eForm?

If you are having technical issues using the website for the Appeal eForm, contact our colleagues at LMU Information Technology Services at servicedesk@lmu.edu or via phone at 310.338.8777.  If you have questions about any of the items listed within the form regarding appeals, contact our office via phone at 310.338.2753 (available weekdays between 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., Pacific time), or email our office at finaid@lmu.edu.

What happens after your appeal is submitted?

Your file will be submitted to our appeal committee to review your documentation and determine if you are eligible to receive additional federal, state, and/or institutional financial aid.  Please allow a minimum of 10 business days for the review of your appeal documents and a decision to be posted regarding your appeal.  If the student is a current/continuing undergraduate student, or submitted a tuition deposit to LMU, the student will be informed of the appeal decision in PROWL.  If a parent’s email is included on the Appeal eForm, the parent will also be copied on the appeal decision.  If the student is a prospective undergraduate who has not submitted a tuition deposit to LMU, you will be notified of the appeal decision on the Admission Status Page in the admission portal.
