EdFund  provides financial tools to assist you in planning, paying, applying for financial aid.  
 
FAFSA4caster allows you to get an early start on the financial aid process and receive an early estimate of eligibility for federal student aid. When you’re ready to apply for aid, much of the information that you enter in the FAFSA4caster will populate your FAFSA on the Web application, making the experience of applying for federal student aid a lot easier.   Other useful websites:

Federal Student Aid

The U.S. Department of Education's provides free information on applying for federal financial aid,  information on the federal financial aid programs, loan repayment and many useful publications in english and spanish

Federal Tax Benefits 

There are federal tax credits available for parents (and students) who are saving (or paying) for college. Expenses for course materials may now also qualify you for a tax credit visit American Opportunity Tax Credit for more information.

LMU Parent Pride

Parent Pride is LMU's online community for parents of first year students.  On Parent Pride parents can find resources, share advice and make friends with other LMU parents.

NASFAA provides information regarding applying for financial aid, federal tax benefits for parents and students, understanding credit as well as other useful information for financial aid applicants and recipients.

Veterans Affairs

This link provides information on educational benefits for veterans or their dependents.  Also visit Troops to Teachers for information on special assistance for veterans interested in a teaching in California.  Also check www.gibill.va.gov for information on eligibility for the post 9/11 GI Bill benefits that are payable for training and enrollment on or after August 1, 2009.  

Students who have made their commitment to attend LMU and who are eligible for veteran’s benefits must submit a copy of the Report of Separation form, commonly referred to as the DD214 form, to the Offi ce of the Registrar. At the end of the offi cial drop/add period, the Office of the Registrar will complete an enrollment certification (VA28-1905) form and submit it to the Department of Veterans Affairs in Muskogee, Oklahoma. The VA28-1905 forms are submitted to Muskogee at the beginning of each term of enrollment until the University is notified that benefits have been exhausted or the student graduates.
