Academic Year 2010-2011


We know that for many families, choosing where to apply and filling out the admission application is only the first step. If you will be seeking financial assistance, we encourage you apply for financial aid as early as possible – Please do not wait until you have been admitted to apply for financial aid!  

At Loyola Marymount University you could be qualified for federal or state financial aid, or LMU funded need-based grants to assist you with your academic costs. LMU also offers a wide variety of academic scholarships to reward the scholastic accomplishments of our most distinguished entering freshmen. Begin the financial aid process by learning about the steps required to apply for financial aid for the 2010-2011 academic year. 

The LMU Financial Aid Office has many resources that can assist you with your planning for the upcoming school year. In particular, MyAid Financial Planner is one resource you might find exceptionally useful.

MyAid is LMU’s interactive financial planning website for you and your family. You can use MyAid to:

  • Learn about financial planning and aid
  • Plan out your expenses for the school year
  • Learn about financing options
  • Keep track of necessary forms to complete and submit
  • Get step by step information on how to complete the financial aid process
  • Grant your parent(s) access to MyAid by clicking on the “Invite Parent/Guardian” link at the top of any MyAid page.

We encourage you to explore MyAid and familiarize yourself with the features that it offers, regardless of whether you plan to apply for financial aid.

After you have completed your application for admission, you can access MyAid through your one-stop to the LMU Online Community, MyLMU. Please click here to log in to MyLMU (You will need your LMU Username to gain access).
