Applying for Aid Fall 2016

To receive financial aid as you continue your LMU education, you must apply for financial aid each year you are at LMU. It is important to review the deadlines for application for the coming year.

Current students will find the there are two academic year FAFSAs you can apply for online. One is for the current year (2015-16) and one for the coming year (2016-17). You can still be considered for federal aid if you have not completed the 2015-16 FAFSA for the Spring 2016 and/or Summer 2016 Sessions.

Applying for Aid: 2016-2017 Academic Year

Current students entering in the 2016-2017 academic year who wish to be considered for financial aid awards are required to complete the following steps:

  • Students can complete the 2016-2017 FAFSA starting January 1, 2016 and by the priority funding deadline of March 2, 2016 at

In order to electronically sign your form, you will need an FSA ID. In the past, families and students used a federal PIN number. These PIN numbers are now being replaced with the new FSA ID process. Even if you have an existing PIN number, you will need to follow these steps in order to Create an FSA ID.

Step 2: Check your MyTask list in your MyAid account within MyLMU regularly, completing additional steps if requested.

If any additional information or documentation is required to complete your financial aid application, the Financial Aid Office will notify you or your parent(s) via MyAid. Submit of all requested documents quickly to avoid any delay in awarding and/or loss of aid eligibility.

Important update: LMU is no longer requiring the LMU Aid Application formerly posted as a missing requirement in your PROWL account. That's one less step!
