Applying for Aid

To receive financial aid as you continue your LMU education, you must apply for financial aid each year you are at LMU. It is important to review the deadlines for application for the coming year.

Current students will find the there are two academic year FAFSAs you can apply for online. One is for the current year (2013-14) and one for the coming year (2014-15). You can still be considered for federal aid if you have not completed the 2013-14 FAFSA for the Spring 2014 and/or Summer 2014 Sessions.

Applying for Aid: 2014-2015 Academic Year

Current students entering in the 2014-2015 academic year who wish to be considered for financial aid awards are required to complete the following steps:

Step 1: Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

  • Aid applicants need to complete the FAFSA each academic year
  • LMU's Federal School Code: 001234
  • Students can complete the 2014-2015 FAFSA starting January 1, 2014 at www.fafsa.ed.gov

Students who missed the March 2 deadline can still complete the FAFSA to be considered for federal and institutional aid. Complete your FAFSA today to prevent any possible delay in awarding or loss of eligibility.

Step 2: Complete the LMU Application Online through PROWL.

The LMU Application is not required to receive federal or state aid, however it is required to receive LMU funded financial aid.

Access the LMU Application via MyLMU under the “Systems Login” menu and select PROWL.

  • Within PROWL, click on the ‘’Financial Aid’’ tab and select “Financial Aid Requirements.” Then select the 2014-2015 aid year and click on the link for the LMU Application. Complete the LMU Application. Your LMU Application will be considered incomplete until all questions are answered.
