Summer 2012
Students wishing to receive funds for summer school should submit the required Summer Financial Aid Application by the priority deadlines of May 7, 2012 for Summer Session I and June 18, 2012 for Summer Session II.
The 2011-2012 FAFSA should be completed no later than April 1 in order to meet Student Accounts summer tuition deadlines. We cannot guarantee Financial Aid awards for a FAFSA received after June 1. The FAFSA is not required to apply for a credit-based Alternative Loan.
LMU considers summer school the end of the school year. Therefore, the eligibility of each student is based upon each student's remaining annual limits for grants and loans. Students who receive their maximum grant and/or loan eligibility for the Fall and Spring semesters may not have any remaining eligibility for summer financial aid.
ELIGIBILITY FOR SUMMER FINANCIAL AID
- Students must be enrolled at least half-time (6 units if Undergraduate, 3 units if Graduate) to receive Federal Direct Loans.
- Students enrolled in non-degree, certificate, or continuing education program are NOT eligible for summer Federal Financial Aid but may apply for Alternative credit based loans.
- All Summer 2012 Applicants MUST submit the following:
HOW TO APPLY
STEP 1: Complete the 2012 LMU Summer Financial Aid Application.
STEP 2: Complete the 2011-2012 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) if you have not done so already for the school year.
The FAFSA deadline for summer aid is June 1. The FAFSA should be completed online at www.fafsa.ed.gov and valid results sent to LMU. LMU's school code is #001234.
Students who have already completed a FAFSA and forwarded the results to LMU do not need to resubmit this information to be considered for summer financial aid.
