Apply for Aid

You will be required to apply for financial aid each year. Information on the application process and priority funding deadlines will be posted on the financial aid website in December or early January of each year.

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is required to apply for all federal grants, work-study and loan programs including the Federal Parent (PLUS) Loan.  The FAFSA must be completed to apply for a new Cal Grant or renew your Cal Grant or Chafee Grant awards.  The FAFSA must also be completed to be considered for the LMU Grant, and endowments, Loyola Work and institutional loans.  We also request that those receiving academic merit scholarships and athletic scholarships complete the FAFSA so as to be considered for all forms of aid available. 

Requirements to apply are posted to your LMU PROWL account in late December or early January.  As a courtesy, we will also send an email to your LMU lion account reminding you that it is time to apply for aid for the next year. 

Note: If you are a continuing LMU student applying for financial aid for the first time, we also ask that you complete the CSS PROFILE in order to be considered for the LMU Grant.
