Grants are gifts that do not need to be paid back. Eligibility for grants can be based on financial need, academic merit or a combination of both.
California State Grants
California residents can apply for Cal Grant A, B and Chafee Grants for foster youth. If you are currently a Cal Grant recipient, you will need to notify the California Student Aid Commission that you wish to transfer your Cal Grant to LMU.
Federal Grants
The Pell, Supplemental, Academic Competitiveness and SMART Grants are available from the Federal Government to assist students.
LMU Grants
LMU participates in all federal and state grant programs and provides our own grants based on academic merit and financial need to assist students.
